Eating Disorder Treatment Costs

Please call our Admissions Specialists at (314) 968-1900 extension 26 or 34 for more information about treatment costs.

When is Payment Due and How Much Money Will I Need Up Front?

A $1,000 Admission fee is collected to use toward any uncovered services or copays, etc. prior to admission. No additional payment is needed up front when utilizing in-network benefits.

What is included in the fees?

The facility fee for residential and partial hospitalization programs may include treatment planning, individual counseling, group therapies, meals, meal support, dietitian visits and outings. The fee does NOT include medications, lab work, individual psychiatrist visits, medical consultation(s), visits to any other medical facilities or spending money; however, we submit these claims to your insurance for payment first. Our fee for intensive outpatient treatment includes two psychotherapy groups, one therapeutic meal, treatment planning, weight and vital signs monitoring, and dietitian supervision. Individual sessions with therapists, dieticians and psychiatrists are not included.

Will My Insurance Cover the Cost of Treatment?

McCallum Place is not licensed as a Medicare or Medicaid provider. McCallum Place is in-network with many types of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna. If you have some form of Blue Cross Blue Shield or Aetna Insurance, please consult with your insurance company to see if your treatment at McCallum Place will be covered under your individual policy. Our Insurance and Utilization Department (ext. 27 or 34) will also coordinate insurance coverage and payment for all treatment authorized by your insurance company. McCallum Place almost always submits claims on your behalf to your insurance company so that you may receive reimbursement from your insurance company up to the limits of your insurance coverage. We will attempt to pre-certify treatment with your insurance company when appropriate. Almost all of our patients receive some level of reimbursement from their insurance companies but insurance reimbursement varies widely by company and coverage type. It is a good idea to consult your insurance company directly prior to admission to determine what level of insurance reimbursement you can expect. Our admissions team will also do this for you and explain your benefits prior to admission to ensure peace of mind.

For those patients who are out-of-network, we work to secure either a Single Case Agreement (Accomodation) from your insurance company and sometimes per one's policy, all or some of the cost of treatment may still be covered by your insurance company through accessing your out-of-network benefits.

Note: We find families that advocate for themselves with insurance companies have the best success. We will do everything in our power to help you access your benefits.
