McCallum Place offers a full continuum of
individualized care.
Eating Disorder Treatment Programs at McCallum Place include residential,
10 and 6 hour day treatment, intensive outpatient, transitional living, aftercare groups and support groups.
Patients who are seeking
anorexia treatment, bulimia treatment and
binge eating treatment are under the supervision of an experienced, dedicated and talented
team of treatment professionals. Our multi-disciplinary team includes medical staff,
dietitians, therapists, and direct care staff. Dr.
Kim McCallum, Medical Director and founder, has over
twenty years of
experience working with
adolescents and adults
with eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia and founded McCallum Place in 2002.
At the residential
house, individuals with
anorexia nervosa,
bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorders enter into
24-hour care and stay in a home-like setting. The
treatment center is a short walk from the community's downtown area and offers a
significantly different atmosphere than is available in a traditional hospital setting. The McCallum Place transition house
is for adult patients entering back into an independent
living situation and accommodates up to four patients.
While in
programming at the day suite, patients
recovering from an eating disorder can
live at home, McCallum Place's transition house, one of the many nearby hotels
or The Haven House.
